Privacy Policy

GreatEDU stores the parent/guardian details, child profiles and tracking records that a family enters, in this website's database, linked to that family's user account. Only the signed-in family (and site administrators) can access them. The only photos a family can upload are one private profile photo per child and an optional photo on a Star Kids entry (public only while that entry is approved); each is checked on the server, re-encoded without location or camera metadata, stored privately in the database and never placed in the public media library. Star Kids (optional): a parent can share a child's talent. The name, age, class, city and state, activity, description, social link and optional photo that the parent types in are stored with the time of the parent's consent. If the parent also ticks the leaderboard option, the child's name and the number of stars earned each day are shown on the Star Kids leaderboard (no other tracker records). Nothing is shown publicly until the site team approves the entry; the parent can edit or withdraw it at any time, which removes it and its photo. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are refused in these fields, and links are never embedded. Learning progress (words practised, stories read, quiz and game results, chosen promises and optional reflections) is stored per child in the same private account. Make & Create project progress (which steps and materials were ticked, whether a project was finished, and an optional short note) is stored the same way; GreatEDU does not store project photos. GreatEDU has no built-in AI assistant and sends nothing about a child to any AI service; the AI Explained lessons only teach about AI, and any copy buttons just place text on the family's own clipboard. If the site owner turns on automatic translation, only library content (stories, words, facts and interface text) is sent to the translation provider, never family or child information.

Payments are processed by the payment provider chosen at checkout (Razorpay, PayU or Easebuzz). GreatEDU never receives or stores card numbers, CVVs or bank credentials; it stores the order reference, amount, status and the provider's transaction ID.

Sign-up (optional): a parent may enter the age and gender of up to three children; these are used only to choose helpful blog articles for the article e-mails (sent to families that have not yet confirmed their e-mail or subscribed), never shown publicly, and deleted with the account. Each article e-mail has an unsubscribe link and never contains a child's name.

Families can export all of their data and delete their account from My Family & Subscription at any time. Deleting an account permanently removes profiles, records and photos; payment records and the audit log are retained without the link to the user, for accounting.

What we collect

Account: parent / guardian name, email, password (stored securely as a one-way hash), optional mobile number, country and photo.
Sign in with Google (optional): if you choose it, Google tells us your name, your verified email address and a Google account ID. We never receive your Google password. Google handles the sign-in under its own privacy policy, and no Google script runs on our pages.
Family profile: optional details for up to two parents / guardians (date of birth, contact details, address). Only the primary name and relationship are required.
Children: name, optional date of birth, gender, photo, relationship and notes, plus the activity, learning and wellbeing records you choose to add.
Payments: order reference, amount, status and the provider's transaction ID. We never receive card numbers, CVVs or bank passwords.
Security: an audit log of account, subscription and payment changes with an anonymised IP address.

What we don't do

No advertising, no analytics trackers and no third-party scripts in the portal. Child information is never shown on the public website.
No facial recognition or photo analysis.

Your controls

Export everything at any time from My Family & Subscription → Download my data.
Archive or permanently delete a child profile and all of its records.
Delete your account. Payment records and the audit log are kept without your name for accounting.
